I've been working on tons of art stuff for the last year, but couldn't post any of it on here because I wanted it all secret for a big project, but now the big project is doing stuff, in the form of an Inkshares campaign (at WorldsofMEBAR.com), so I ...

thanks for the fav :-)
Hey there,

I've got some new pieces posted if you care to take a look. I think I am getting a handle on the contrast with each scan.
you are welcome for the fav ... great work here... very crerative. need any patterns to work from? got a few in my gallery you might find useful...Arborieal Grand Hall5 for one
I will keep that in mind. Right now, I don't really trust 3D modeling software, though. I very rarely use raw, CG images (there are couple exceptions).

Several of the major projects in my gallery started as 3D models, then I simply drew them out in pencil. That way, I have full control, I get to smooth out the hard edges, and I get everything consistent.
actually the geometric patterns are made from photographs and then heavily minipuluated by the power of OCD and months of unemployment...The Arborial hall is only a thin slice of a picture I took looking up at a tree limb and a few branchs that were then mirrored and duplicated several times...I did not use a cgi program for any of these (other than the ones that are obviously CGI) The tiles came from a single leaf and and the patterns that I found within it by going deeper into the previous patterns that came before it...in other words analog fractals (if that concept even exists) I have nearly 1,750 of these and I still find others if I look for them...all from one leaf...there's a lot of leafs out there on the ground...(sigh) Being from the same source, these patterns can be used together to form even more complicated patterns.
Wow . . . I had a feeling we weren't really thinking of the same thing when you said "patterns," but that sounds amazing!

I'm going to have to look at your gallery again.
Thanks for the watch!
